This Privacy Policy explains how Dime Box LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as Brown Bass ("we," "us," or "our"), collects and uses information when you interact with brownbass.xyz, receive email from us, or purchase our menu photography service.
1. Information we collect
Restaurant contact information. We build a list of independent restaurants from publicly available sources (restaurant websites, public business directories, public social media) so we can send you a free sample photo of one of your dishes. This typically includes restaurant name, address, public phone number, public email address, and a link to your menu.
Information you give us. When you reply to our outreach, fill out our contact form, or place an order, we collect your name, email address, restaurant name, and anything else you choose to send us (menu details, reference photos, notes).
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe shares the last four digits, card brand, billing ZIP, and transaction status with us so we can fulfill and support your order.
Usage data. If we enable an analytics tool such as Google Analytics, it may collect standard web information like IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL to help us understand site traffic.
2. How we use information
- To send you a free sample photo and follow up about our service.
- To deliver and support orders you place.
- To process payments through Stripe.
- To respond to messages sent through our contact form or by email.
- To improve brownbass.xyz and understand which pages are useful.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Where we store information
Lead information, contact form submissions, and order records are stored in Supabase, our managed database provider, on servers located in the United States. Payment records are stored by Stripe. Email is sent and received through standard email service providers.
4. Cold email and CAN-SPAM
Our outreach emails comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Every email we send includes a clear identification of Brown Bass / Dime Box LLC, a valid physical mailing address, an honest subject line, and a working way to opt out. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you marketing email within 10 business days and we will not sell or transfer your address to anyone else for their own marketing.
5. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to (a) stop emailing you, (b) tell you what information we have about your restaurant, (c) correct that information, or (d) delete it. Email max@brownbass.xyz and we will action your request within a reasonable timeframe.
6. California residents (CCPA basics)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email max@brownbass.xyz. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Service providers we use
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Analytics (if enabled) — anonymous traffic measurement.
- Email delivery and customer support tools.
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices and only receives the information necessary to provide its service to us.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
brownbass.xyz is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
